Objective: The objective of TARBAR is to provide a filter for the smoker that filters, but not to such an extent that the smoker, in reality, doesn’t use it. Many smokers have said that unless they can receive the same, or almost the same, perceived experience, they are very likely to NOT use a filter. TARBAR is intended to provide the smoker with the perceived, full smoking experience, … FULL FLAVOR-FULL TASTE.
Filter History: Filters have been in the marketplace for decades. For example, President Roosevelt was often photographed using a long, tapered filter as he smoked. He obviously wanted the benefit of a filter while still enjoying smoking. Though most US brands of cigarettes at that time did not have ‘built- in’ filters, gradually, this changed over time so that today most brands contain a filter as part of the manufacturing process. There are few exceptions.
Why TARBAR?: Loss of flavor/taste, difficultly of draw, and inconvenience due to size, cleaning, etc. have, in the past, been negative factors with this smoking accessory. As a result, in a general sense, filters have had difficulty gaining broad acceptance with smokers. TARBAR is designed to address these issues in a simple and positive manner.
Why Filter is Clear: The TARBAR filter, prior to use, is intentionally clear (plastic). Smoking cigarettes is recognized to be dangerous to one’s health. To emphasize this reality, the TARBAR filter, as used, becomes almost solidly black from the filtering process. Smokers can visibly see what goes into their bodies when smoking and hopefully, this visual awareness might help to act as a deterrent to their smoking habit.
Educational Non-Smoking Tool: TARBAR can also serve as a strong visual presentation to non-smokers, showing the foreign materials that smoking introduces into their bodies after only a few cigarettes.
